শীতকালে যেসব উদ্ভিদের পাতা ঝরে যায় সেসব উদ্ভিদকে পত্রঝরা উদ্ভিদ বলে। মধুপুর ও ভাওয়াল বনাঞ্চলে এ ধরনের উদ্ভিদ পাওয়া যায়। চিরহরিৎ বনভূমিতে জন্মায়— মেহগনি, শাল(Scientific name:Shorea robusta), সেগুন, জলপাই, পাইন, জারা, বট, গজারি ইত্যাদি উদ্ভিদ।
পরিবেশের সাথে জীবের মানিয়ে চলার বিশেষ গুণকে অভিযোজন (adaptation) বলে।
